Digging Potatoes 1 2.27 Meg .wmv file with sound I thought I would dig some potatoes in the morning while it was still a little cool. The ground is real dry now so they come out real clean. Getting the potatoes out will make this ground ready to work and maybe get a green manure crop planted before it gets to cold.
............................................................ Digging Potatoes 2 1.36 Meg .wmv file with sound More potatoe digging. I split this sequence up so it would not be such a big file to download.
............................................................ Digging Potatoes 3 854 Kb .wmv file with sound And more digging of potatoes.
............................................................ Digging Potatoes 4 659 Kb .wmv file with sound And, finally, what you get for all that digging. I only dug three hills and I probably have 25 more to go. I did not get a picture from this one yet. ............................................................ Just about my favorite dog. 1.15 Meg .wmv file with sound She will not come in the garden since she ran into the electric fence that was around the sweetcorn to keep the coons out. She likes to follow us around though when we are doing something. I think the only rabbit she has ever caught was a little one and then she carried it around in her mouth without hurting it.
............................................................ A little white butterfly laying eggs on broccoli 0.97 Meg .wmv file with sound There was only one of these flying around on this nice morning. Sometimes there are 6 or 8 or more flying around laying eggs that hatch into the little green worm you find on broccoli. I need to treat these plants with Dipel again. I broke off all the broccoli that had worms in it the day before. Those big plants on the left are the Brussel Sprouts that also need to be dusted.
............................................................ Very wilted okra plants in the afternoon 1.09 Meg .wmv file with sound The smaller okra plants are really wilting in the afternoon. The larger plants wilt also but not quite as much. We need a rain real bad. The okra continues to set pods and we had some to eat this evening.
............................................................ The same okra plants in the morning 1.27 Meg .wmv file with sound The same okra plants in the morning. Overnight they perk back up only to wilt again each day.
