About Mike's Garden Blog I have not posted much on the site in the past year because so many things have changed around here. Our Internet Service Provider business that we have been running for the past 13 years has all but been ruined by mistakes made by ATT MIS personnel. Mistakes that took us off line for 7 1/2 days between July and August. Consequently, we lost a lot of customers. We have little or no recourse because their contract is laid out to protect them from everything and all liability. Over a year ago I got involved in a renovation project on an old school building in Winchester, IL. Since then it has taken more and more of my time to where it was hard to get those extra things done like post something on the site or update things or whatever. I mostly do carpenter work in there finishing stuff and building display cases or whatever comes along. My wife has worked in there for several years doing the same things and the past year or so it has pretty much just been her and I working in there. Also, I have added some links and info about the music I have been playing. I recently offered for sale on cdbaby.com a cd of electronic music I created. I may have mentioned in an earlier post that I play the fiddle, guitar, cello and several other stringed instruments. I do not have any recordings of that stuff anywhere for sale. What I have is music created by me using a midi keyboard and my new Imac computer. Read more about it in the music section of the site. I did garden this year and it was pretty good. It was just too hard to document much of it so I will resolve to do that more. And, probably, I will pontificate on matters of farming and organic agriculture, food production, and food consumption.
